　　今天，任老师准备开启新学期的语料储备计划。计划以中国文化为基础，进行全方位的延伸。这些语料也是经过查阅和小结，以最浓缩的方式呈现出来，方便同学们学习记背。

习俗类 —— 龙 loong, dragon

If we must find a thing to symbolize China, loong will probably pop into your mind first. Loong, the mythical creature, is deeply rooted in Chinese culture. We Chinese often consider ourselves "the descendants of loong." And all the parents hope that their children "may become loongs (hope one's Children will have a bright future)". In ancient times, loong is a symbol of imperial power. All the emperors thought they were "real loongs and the sons of the heaven". Our forefathers looked upon loong as the god to govern rainfall, and they decide where and when the rain falls. We Chinese believe loong can bring wealth, rank and good fortune.

　　龙：关于“龙”的英语翻译，大多采用 dragon 这个词，但是考虑到 dragon 多指存在于西方世界的龙，其形象和中国龙形象不符，所以最好译为“loong”。
